After suffering continuing back problems, my physiotherapist recommended that I practice Pilates. I quickly noticed the benefits and with regular practice, gradually became pain free! The added benefit was that I loved the classes..........so much, that I decided to train to teach Pilates.
After lots of research I decided to train with the PILATES Foundation UK. My training was extensive and covered anatomy, physiology and pathology as well as the principles and fundamentals of the Pilates method. My training also included:
- Pre & post Natal Pilates
- Pilates for the older adult
- Rehabilitation & prevention of injury
- Pilates with small equipment
The quality of their training programme makes the PILATES Foundation UK, the organisation most likely to be recommended by professional bodies, such as physiotherapists and osteopaths.
