Rehabilitation

Where do I start?
If pain, stiffness or an injury is stopping you doing the things you enjoy, it can be difficult to know where to start. You may have tried resting, exercising or different treatments, but still feel that something isn't quite right.
My approach is to look at how your body is moving as a whole and help identify what may be contributing to the problem. Together, we'll work on restoring comfortable movement, building strength and helping you feel more confident in your body again.
I use a combination of assessment and rehabilitation techniques, including NeuroKinetic Therapy® (NKT), movement strategies, breath work and, where appropriate, tailored Pilates exercises. Your plan is individual to you, rather than a one-size-fits-all programme.
What to expect
Your first session is about understanding you and how your body is moving. We’ll talk about what’s been bothering you, what you’d like to get back to doing, and look at the movement patterns that may be contributing to the problem.
From there, I’ll create an individual plan to help you move more comfortably and build strength and confidence. This may include hands-on assessment, NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT), movement and breathing strategies, and tailored Pilates exercises.
You’ll usually leave with a few simple exercises that will be recorded for you to practise at home, so you can continue making progress between sessions.
