Neck and back problems led me to Pilates and I’ve never looked back.
I am constantly updating my skills with courses that mainly revolve around rehabilitation and correcting faulty movement patterns. This is how I came to my newest love which is Neurokenetic Therapy. It’s an assessment tool which involves testing muscles and reprogramming the brain with new correct movement patterns.
Pilates is a holistic exercise system designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance; so much more than just building a 'strong core' or 'perfect posture'. Exercises involve the whole body and are performed on spring-assisted apparatus or a mat, sometimes utilising small equipment.
Pilates is effective as it addresses underlying structural imbalances in the body which can create on-going pain and difficulty with movement. The whole body is considered. Lengthened and strengthened muscles improve posture and overall fitness and retrain dysfunctional movement patterns, restoring optimum physical function.
Regardless of age, ability or fitness level, Pilates is beneficial for everyone.
Group classes are available for all ages and abilities, whether you are just beginning, or more advanced.
All group classes are currently being run online due to COVID-19, and UK Government Regulations.
Private sessions are tailored to your specific needs, and provide focused attention to you and your goals.
Individual Equipment and Matwork classes run from the studio, under strict UK Governemnt COVID-19 guidelines and regulations.
